Archer Capital acquired Ausfuel in May 2010. Ausfuel is a leading energy distribution group with a 30 year history and operations in fuel retailing, distribution and transportation. Ausfuel has operations in the Northern Territory servicing remote regional areas with additional reach into Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.

In November 2010 Ausfuel completed on the acquisition of Gull Petroleum, the leading independent fuel retailer in Western Australia with a portfolio of 98 service station sites and a developing commercial fuels distribution business servicing the growth regions in WA. Gull is an established Australian brand and provides significant scale to Ausfuel's operations, in addition to broadening its geographic footprint. In November 2011 Ausfuel acquired Choice Petroleum, an independent fuel distributor headquartered in Gladstone, Queensland. The Choice operation comprises 21 company owned sites and 20 Choice-branded reseller service stations, in addition to a commercial fuel business which is highly complimentary to the existing Ausfuel operations in regional Queensland. Ausfuel was sold to Puma Energy in February 2013.
